I am looking for a detailed map of Libya, thorough enough for me to be able to see village names?

I am trying to plot the route of Operation Compass where the Allies advanced through Northern Libya, and would like to be able to place the towns they talk about. Google maps, and the CIA World factbook are all to vague and only mention major cities.

1. you should go to googleearth.com and you can search any place at any time...it actually gets so detailed in pictures that you can see houses, streets, everything. Even cars on the road. it's pretty sweet. I downloaded it on my cpu. You should try it.
2. Google maps is enough I think. But if you want to know about all the surface, you may download Google-Earth then install it to your PC. Yes, you can even see your home there, believe me ^_^ cheers.. ^_^
