Why is Israel in a constant state of war and or occupation of other nations ?
The gazza strip is outside thier national border Yet they seem to always be at war or occupying the place There seems to be constant war with all of it's nieghbors Are they all insane Arabs or does Israel share some of the blame for this I thought for a while the Gazza strip might belong to Israel but according to the CIA world fact book it does not https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/geos/gz.html

- Isreal is my home away from home. They are doing exactly what I tell them too.
- "Are they all insane Arabs or does Israel share some of the blame for this " From what I've been reading both sides can take some blame. Arabs usually start it (rocket launches, etc...), but Israel usually retaliates with a HUGE onslaught that leads to civilian causalities - which in turn continues the cycle as family members, friends, etc... of the deceased send more rockets into Israel. The fact that Hamas was elected doesn't help. Many Palestinians are poor and Hamas ran on a socialist platform that claimed they would provide all Palestinians with health, food, etc... but the price is having a terrorist regime at helm.
- The fact that the radical Palestinians strap bombs to themselves, teach their kids to kill themselves and innocent people is proof that they're crazy. Nothing more than two bit terrorist thugs! You won't see the Israelis resorting to such awful tactics. They'll just kick an Arab's ass and go about their business.
- the occupied lands are staging points for the Arabs to attack Israel not once but 3 times the Israelis occupied the lands to stop further attacks on there countries from the Arab lands. folks say that Israel should give land up to the Palestinians but if u look at the map the Arab lands stretch over two hands on a map and Israel can be covered by your thumb i think some of the other countries can afford to give up little more land than Israel can
- Man you could read a 4000 page book on this question and still not even have 1% of the total picture covered.
- Its considered a holy land by Christians/Muslims/Jewish. The area occupied has the holiest sites that they all claim as their own. All of them share the blame. They just can't let people live in their area that belong to another religion "because GOD told them so" the gazza strip belongs to Palestine. It's not Israel alone. It's religion that does it.
- Hmmm, the constant attacks on citizens of Israel that come from Gaza by Islamic militants isn't reason enough to occupy it? Is Israel wrong to protect its civilians with its military?
- Gaza was part of Egypt until Egypt launched aggressive border maneuvers, at which point Israel preemptively struck Egypt's air force. Syria and Jordan attacked Israel in response, and the Six-Day War was under way. Israel drove Egypt from Gaza and the Sinai Peninsula, Syria from the Golan Heights, Jordan from the West Bank in order to procure a protective buffer. Peace with Egypt in subsequent years led to the return of Sinai to Egypt, but Israel retained Gaza, which Egypt is happy to give up. Jordan is actually majority Palestinian and so is happy with the West Bank as a potential Palestinian state that can take in Palestinians from Jordan. Syria remains, technically, in a state of war with Israel. I think the Israelis are repressive in their dealings with the Palestinians, but I don't begrudge Israel one day of its existence or its right to use military force to maintain its geographic, political, and economic position in a land surrounded by many who would see it eradicated.
- Because... According to the US Government, Jewish people around the Globe, and the population of Israel they believe that they are the chosen people. We support there foreign polices because it give us reasons to interfere in most Arab nations, as we and the British have been doing since the discovery of oil in the desert.
- When you are attacked the day you are created by all of your neighbors who refuse to acknowledge your right to exist you may have the right to take land from them if you win. Not to mention the fact that they are pretty committed to the destruction of your nation. But the Israelis maybe be at blame for occupying other nations sovereign territory. even though the might need to to survive. the scary thing is both sides have legitimate claims so there is no real answer.
- Both sides are to blame, I support Israel and its right to exist but I also take time to listen to the other side of the story!! both peoples are fighting a war that has been going on for a long, long time!! when i was studying in Israel for my archeology class in college they would unearth some truth to a Palestinian claim and the would make it disappear same as the Palestinians would do if they unearthed a Jewish claim to the land. It all comes down to each side trying to wright each other out of the story.
