Oil exports - according to the CIA world fact book - so why is gas 1.05 a litre again ?

Please note the exports from Canada and the US Also according to PertoCanada's web site refineing makes up 16 % of the total cost at the pumpe That the oil industry makes up 2 % of cost and the rest is tax TAX

1. So we export oil only to import oil that we need to refine and then sell that back to ourselves at a huge tax mark up ? WOW lets give the government a raise right away !
